About Melinda Liu
Ms. Melinda Liu graduated from University of California, Berkeley, California and Southwestern University School Law, Los Angeles, California. She has been a member of the California Bar and admitted to practice on the Federal level since 2001, a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California since 2009, and a certified Mediator.
Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Ms. Liu finished up to 10th Grade at Taipei Municipal Zhong Shan Girls High School, Taiwan, a top three senior high school for girls. As such, Ms. Liu is fluent in Chinese and is sensitive to the cultural needs of her clients.
At age 16, Ms. Liu moved to Los Angeles with her family. After studying for two years at El Camino College in Torrance, California, Ms. Liu transferred with high marks to University of California in Berkeley, California, in 1995. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from University of California in 1997. In 2001, Ms. Liu earned her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law, and passed the most difficult California Bar Exam to be admitted to the Bar.
Comprehensive Legal Experience
Ms. Liu has worked extensively in research and drafting throughout her legal career. During law school, she handled family and employment immigration cases at prominent boutique immigration firms. As an attorney, she has prepared customized trusts and legal documents for individual clients in estate planning and family matters. Her works helped clients retain control over their assets while navigating intricate family relations. She also has guided surviving family members through trust administration and advocated for them for insurance and pension benefits. In addition, she is a well-rounded and risk-aware attorney in business transactions and litigation. She has gained solid legal experience from working with small and medium-size businesses in transactions, litigations, and complex government regulations.
As a Broker Associate at AC Real Estate Services, Inc., Ms. Liu has successfully negotiated many purchases for her customers looking to buy their dream homes or rental investments.
Community Leader
Since high school, Ms. Liu has been an active community volunteer and leader who’s been recognized by many organizations. A passionate advocate for her community, Ms. Liu has spent years acting as the team representative for many basketball teams, Troop Leader for Girl Scouts of Orange County, President of Irvine Chinese School Parent Teacher Organization, Board Member of Northwood High School Athletic Booster Club, and a volunteer mediator at the Orange County Superior Court.
Serving Clients with Empathy
In her family life, Ms. Liu has been the caretaker for her elderly parents and her young adult children. She has raised three outstanding young adults with various accomplishments. She also has been managing her parents financial and healthcare affairs. Having been the caretaker of her elderly immigrant parents and her young children, Ms. Liu understands the tasks involved for the “sandwich generation” and the protections necessary for loved ones.
Ms. Liu is fluent in both English and Chinese, has more than 20 years of legal experience, and is at the service of clients in Orange County and surrounding areas.
